For decades, the BAAM (TELSE, AMTA) Meetings were more than just events, they were traditions. Generations of industry friends and families gathered year after year, building lasting relationships and a sense of community that defined who we are.

From kite flying, cornhole, and horseshoe contests, golf and fishing tournaments, and evenings filled with bingo, laughter, and some pretty impressive karaoke, the memories made at these meetings are ones we’ll carry with us. But beyond the fun, these gatherings were where ideas took shape... where conversations helped usher in new technologies, from the early days of DSL to recognizing the transformative power of fiber optics that continues to connect our communities today.

In 2025, we celebrated our final year of BAAM-hosted in-person meetings, closing out an incredible chapter in meaningful and memorable ways. Our Summer Symposium in June and Fall Annual Meeting in October at the beautiful Grand Hotel Golf Resort & Spa in Point Clear together served as a fitting sendoff, blending the energy and traditions we all know and love with moments of reflection. From friendly competition and longtime traditions to breathtaking sunsets and meaningful conversations, these final gatherings captured the very best of BAAM and the friendships that will carry on for years to come. These final meetings were a celebration of everything BAAM has stood for and a reminder of just how far we’ve come. This evolution is a reflection of progress, and we are deeply grateful to the countless pioneers and leaders who paved the way, from company founders and innovators to dedicated association leaders and executive directors who have guided us through the years.

As we look ahead, BAAM is proud to partner more closely with Georgia Telephone & Broadband Association (GTBA) and join in their official events. This next chapter allows us to come together with a stronger, more unified voice for our industry while continuing the relationships that have always been at the heart of our association.

While the Summer Symposium and Fall Annual Meeting as we knew them have come to a close, BAAM isn’t going anywhere. We’re simply evolving. Continuing our work and mission, with in-person gatherings now held jointly with our Georgia friends and neighbors.

The spirit of connection, collaboration, and friendship that defined BAAMs events lives on, we’re just bringing it to a bigger stage. We hope you’ll join us at upcoming GTBA meetings as we carry these traditions forward together.
